A. The incidence of gall stones is seen in 2% of children population. The prevalence is still high among obese children (5%). Boys and girls are equally affected in early childhood. However, after puberty, the frequency is significantly higher in females than in males and is similar to the adult ratio of 4:1 female predominance.
