Q.

My son is 3 years old and I Sam struggling with toilet training with him. Have allowed him to choose his toilet seat, provided his level of toilet, given stickers and treats to get on toilet seat, encouraged and showed how to sit on toilet seat. He does not want to sit on toilet and always does his toilet in pull- up. He knows to sit on toilet and when he is in really good mood he does his toilet in toilet bowl but most of the time refuses to sit on toilet seat and does it in pull-up. I am not sure how to get him to sit on toilet by himself.

A. Potty Training can be started after the age of 2 yrs.for this you need to develop a conditioned reflex in theg child by fixing a particular time regularly in which the child should be sitted over the potty seat h .do not force the child instead make it a playful activity and not to make the child repulsive about it.slowly the child will learn to indicate before the time.
