Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Influenza vaccine or the flu vaccine basically protects against different strains of flu viruses including swine Flu virus which causes symptoms specially in children with less immunity.
Though it is not a mandatory vaccine but it should be given to every child to protect against different flu infection which is very common every year . this vaccine is given after 6 months of age and initially two doses are given one month apart then every year single dose is required .
It is not documented but still studklpies suggest that to some extent it may give partial protection against covid infection .

I I’d like to tell you that it is not a mandatory vaccination it’s an optional vaccination to go for but it is healthy of course you should go ahead with it if either if you haven’t got it done as of now after the first dosage you can again get it done if you want to consult your paediatrician and go ahead with it
