my son is 3.5 years old, and he has cough & cold, will syrup axalin work in it?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evalvdeuation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. hello you can give honey with ginger drops and also give steam and in regards to any medication it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better
