Q.

My son is 26 months old , he is hyperactive boy not responding to his name, responds very less to commands.he has good eye contact . Speaks few words like apple, happy.. knows A to Z and 1 to 10 . Earlier he use point body parts n things around but know very few. What should I do? Should I wait or go for therapies?

A. Sit down with your child in an isolated environment. Make sure you have something to reward your child with, such as a favorite toy, favorite food, or a hug and a tickle if your child likes that. Wait until your child is looking away from you and say his name. If he looks at you, reward him with whatever you've chosen.
