Anjana NarayananMom of a 6 yr 4 m old girl3 years agoA. hi, include protein and carbohydrate rich dishes for breakfast like boiled eggs, ragi, oats, pancake milk, sathumaavu, idli etc.. which will give energy during the morning. add some snacks like fruits, nuts during mid morning and evening snack. Rice, Dal, non-veg like mild spicy cooked fish or chicken, roti,paneer can be added to lunch. And milk cannot be avoided in the evening, which is light and filling. also milk is enriched with protein and fats. dinner should be light and filling such as ragi, dosa, ghee roti with milk and sugar/honey, cerelac etc. all these are suggestions. you can mix and match dishes according to baby's taste preferences. also keep in mind, when you add more dishes a day, keep the quantity lesser. so baby gets hungry to eat next meal. keep correct timings for each meal, it is very important.

The Food that is been prepared at home on regular basis like for breakfast lunch and dinner the same food should be given to the child after the age of 12 months because after that there is no restriction on any kind of food or fruit or any vegetable as such so you should just give regular contact with the child
