Q.
my son is 2 years 11 months old.. he is just talking 3, 4 words.. he is not potty trained also..is it a big problem or he will catch up later?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 2 years of age.
there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child.
also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child
avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most common reasons for delayed speech and language development.
the most importtant thing is that before speech understanding of the commands given by the parents should be present.
by 18 months if the child is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor
requirement of speech therapy will also be discussed by your doctor

If your baby is speaking few words but not properly then in such case you can join speech therapy it will help in improving babies speaking skills. But if your baby is not speaking a single word then in such case you have to consult with your paediatrician about it because your doctor can only advise you well after examining
