Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool.
No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.c
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Until about 6 weeks of age, most babies pass stool two to five times per day. Some babies have a bowel movement after every meal. Between 6 weeks and 3 months of age, the frequency of pooping typically decreases. Many babies poop only once a day and some as infrequently as once a week.
