Q.

my son is 16 months old. but he has still not said words clearly. he just blable or roughly say maa or papa. what should I do? he do eye contact, he understood the words n all.

A. proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 3 years of age. there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child. also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most common reasons for delayed speech and language development. the most important thing is that before speech, understanding of the commandsd given by the parents should be present. by 18 months if the child is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor for speech axnd development assessment. requirement of speech therapy will also be discussed by your doctor.

A. But if your child is understanding everything and doing good in terms of giving a response to whatever you are saying then there is no problem with that this time communicate more and more with your child on a personal level that is what is going to help
