Q.
my son is 14 days old... usually fist of newborns are said to be closed up to three months but his fist is opened almost all the time.. and he is not sleeping in night time... he always want to feed and then he is crying.. what is the frequency of feeding? how much time we can feed our baby once a time? till they demand?? and we are using diapers night time.. in what interval we have to change it??

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. no need to worry about the fist of the baby feed the baby properly to have proper sleep and maintain room temperature adequately for the baby and let it be comfortable .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. hi 1.mam,it is not necessary for a baby to have closed fists ,my child also did the same ,I mean she was keeping her fists open all the time ,no worries it is normal. 2.mam ,each and every baby is unique so know your baby's feeding patterns and offer breastfeeding as per your child needs. ideally you can keep gap of 2 or 3 hours between two feeds. 3.yes ,for night time you can use diapers but change it at regular intervals of 2 or 3 hours.
