Q.
my son is 1 year 1 month old. he is having severe cough since 3 days. he coughs with such a force that his eyes and face turns red. one 1st day he was only coughing but now he coughs and have runny nose and also sneezes. I am giving him maxtra syrup thrice a day since last 2 days but still he coughs like same. please suggest is this this matter of concern

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor as there may be some afssociathfed factor .
As the first line of treatment you can give steam inhalation which would be helpful .
Cough Syp should be given only after a proper evaltuation .
