Q.
My son has some redness around his genital area. He tried to scratch there too 3-4 times last week and today it is very red. Can you please suggest what to do. Picture attached for ref.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. you can apply t bact cream locally. this cream can be applied to to all three times everyday and maintain hygiene of the affected area. if there is no improvement after 3 days then kindly meet your doctor for examination and specific treatment

Red Colour Rash over the body if present could be some allergy rashes which may be of sudden onset along with itching. or it could be viral exanthematous rash where the the onset of rashes is there along with fever or assosiated symptoms. and it could be some infection also which needs proper examination. Application of calamine lotion or Anti itchnn lotion like Ritch lotion can be done for soothing along with antiallergic medications initially.

Use Coconut oil or Boroline anti septic cream into that area maybe your child is having rashes due to excessive usage of diaper so apply this and don’t use diaper for the time being and if it does not start to subside within two or three days and you consult your paediatrician ones
