Q.

my son has mild cold and cough. he lost his appetite completely .he is passing loose motion whenever he goes. please suggest

A. I tried econorm and it worked for him ....i gave 2x day. His appetite has come to normal and pass normal stool but when I stopped 3rd day, he was passing loose motion again ...how long do I need to give him econorm ?. He has cold but he is active and every other thing is normal.ppls suggest

A. kindly give ors(oral rehydration solution) for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor. also you cannot give outside milk and cerelac also but you can continue to give breastfeeding if going on for next few dxays. avoid giving sweet sugary food as well as maida and biscuits, chocolate, icecream, packet foods cerelac. other food which can be given are poha daliya upma mamra idli. give sachet econorm twice daily for 3days
