Guardian of a 1 yr 11 m old boy2 months ago
Q.

My son has just turned 20 months. I wanted to discuss a few developmental concerns and get your guidance on next steps. He is an active child who enjoys playing with cars, imitates gestures and songs (especially rhymes/videos), babbles a lot, and shows interest in other children (running and laughing with them). He communicates his needs by pulling us, bringing objects, and using gestures like “give” to ask for things. He also makes good eye contact during activities he enjoys, such as when I sing rhymes to him. My concerns are: inconsistent response to his name limited eye contact (mostly functional or during preferred activities) no pointing yet limited understanding of words like “where is…”, though he understands routines and familiar phrases. is this normal?

A. Yes it is 80% normal but as of now since my concern is that your child responds less to the name and the eye contact is also very limited so in this case it has been sometimes there’s a delay in the growth of the child which is why the child and it could be due to deficiency of iron in the body sometimes and sometimes in general only so if you see this is in increasing over the period just give it a month or two observe very closely if you see it is increasing then I would suggest you to take homeopathic treatment for the child because that will help and also if you need you can consult consult your doctor ones rest everything seems perfectly good
