My son anterior fontanelle not closed What to do

A. This may require proper evaluation, so to clear your doubts regarding this and to receive proper information you should consult your pediatrician/concerned doctor who will guide you in a proper way and will also suggest proper investigation if so required after clinical examination and taking detailed hisj nntory. That will be a better approach for a proper treatment regarding this.

A. Typically, fontanelles close by the time your baby is 18 months old. The posterior fontanelle usually closes first — within 2 months of birth. The anterior fontanelle closes between 7 and 18 months. If you feel your baby's fontanelles are closing too soon or haven't closed in 18 months, consult your pediatrician.
