Q.

my son 7 yrs 5 months. He got a scratch from a pet dog .the owner told that the dog is already vaccinated. The scratch didn't tear the skin and there was no blood. but there was 3 red scratch marks on his hand. I didn't want to take risk and I have already given him 3 rabies injection...Now my question is have I done wrong by giving him the vaccine and did his immunity power will be affected by the vaccine given

A. according to the latest and current recommendation you should give rabies vaccine to anyone who has got dog bite or scratch it doesn't matter whether the dog is vaccinated or not

A. Maintain hygiene Wash area often with lukewarm water Wash hands often before touching your baby Apply coconut oil or olive oil Apply calamine lotion twice daily Take a good care of your baby
