My Son 4.8 yr old started having White spots on nail and nail breaking during May'23. When showed to Pediatrics they gave multivitamin syrups.
by August'23, His nails had Discoloration, Crumbling, oil spot , bleeding spots and Thickening.
When showed to Dermatologist, She said its nail psoriasis. Currently we are follwing the medication just Remoiz and nail ointments:Calpsor & Tazret 0.05% and syrup Zincovit.
Its been one month and we dont see any improvement.
over Internet it said there is no permanent cure for it.
and i am worried and wanted to know from greater audience and specialists if nail psoriasis child can later develop Skin psoriasis too?

Hello dear parent! Few problems will take time. Complete the course of medication as prescribed by the doctor. If required take a second opinion by consulting another dermatologist nearby. Keep the area clean and dry

Updating the current state:
we have done nail biopsy and found that its a NAIL LICHEN PLANUS. Doctor prescribed Tacrolimus 0.1%, after 3 months my sons toe both thumb toe are improved and hand nails doesn't have any improvement. now doctor prescribed Fluocinolone acetonide lotion(2days a week) along with previous ointment. Hoping for better results.
