Q.

My premature baby born at 33 weeks 5 days, is not 4month 11 days old (corrected age is about 3months) looks at family members faces (most of times in eye), tracks moving objects/people and gives smiles response only to father but that too only when lying down or during tummy time. But when we hold him in hand he keeps looking around and avoids eye contact with person holding him. Is it normal for babies to avoid eye contact when held in hand and keep looking around. I am worried about the same.

A. what you have described is totally normal and there is no need to worry regarding this. but if you xfeel that it it seems to be something different you can meet your doctor regarding this and the doctor will guide you. x
