Q.

Hello.. My baby is 5month old (Corrected age 3.5months) born 33 weeks premature. His weight is currently 6.65kg. But for last one month it has not increased much. One month ago it was 6.5kg. Is it normal ?

A. Namaste Father, Generally preterm babies tend to gain weight on a slow pace , but as far as their is progress it is good, their would be varaitions as well. You could probably prefer mother feeding the baby , but for support formula milk would also be helpful

A. Okay so till 6.5 that you mentioned the weight was very good but after that if the weight hasn’t increased that way then maybe the feeding that you are giving currently is not working out now as it was working out previously so you can consult your doctor and you can start giving formula milk to your child
