Q.
My pediatrician says my baby has short Systolic murmur and need to take scan and recommended for Echocardiography. He also mentioned that its not urgent but necessary to take it . Please let me know how serious is this .

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. , your baby girl is 3 months old and your paediatrician has told you that she is having short systolic humming murmur then it could be due to less Hb (anemia) so for your mental satisfaction get her cardiac 3 D echography with coloured Doppler to confirm the diagnosis

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. A heart murmur has no complications. But your child may have complications related to the condition causing the heart murmur. A child with a congenital heart defect may have poor growth and development, heart failure, or other serious problems.
