My newborn stiffens her arms and legs and cries when she is put on shoulders to burp and in sitting up position.why is this happening

Many times stretching of babies is considered normal but if you are not holding properly it may be due to discomfort to the baby.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. You also may notice your baby stretching and kicking the legs. This movement strengthens leg muscles, preparing your baby to roll over, which usually happens by 6 months of age.
