Q.

My newborn baby is 48 hours above old and his bilirubin level is 14.9mg/dl.in total and reference level is 14mg/dl. Is it necessary to be hospitalized.

A. Hi dear mom 3-15 is normal. Give sunlight exposure to ur baby daily to bring down the bilirubin level. If ur doctor suggests u for phototherapy then follow ur doctors advice. Take care
