Q.

My nephew is 3.5 yrs old few days ago he is having constipation prblm so dr gave him some drink i didn’t remember the name exactly and also suggested enema. After giving enema he had done potty but after that he is extremely scared of doing potty. Every single minute he just that potty coming but not doing plz help what to do

A. hi your friends baby is 3 years old now first up all he needs to be counseled that hard stool happen sometimes and it shall not pain always and encourage him to pass stool.give plenty of fluids including milk and include seasonal fruits and vegetables in diet avoid maida products like biscuits and keep baby physically active and apply lignocaine jelly at anal opening 5 mins prior to sending him to toilet so passage of stool is painless

A. Is it normal for baby to getting scared of potty hold the potty and refuse to do that. All day just keep saying wash or wipe off without doing potty. If stool by chance pass while doing pee but still scared and getting lazy all day

A. Today 2 to 3 times when he was going to pee he passes stool little bit which was not hard but inspite of that he is scared. He just keep saying that just wash or wipe my anal area. All day he used to be very lazy not playing at all dont know how to make him understand and when he ll do potty on his own. Does after taking enema pain happens in anal area????

A. Hello Ma’am Well actually what happens is when you give anima to a child the poop comes out in so much wanted and you know sometimes it’s scary maybe for a child which is why your child may have been scared after using it. But just avoid giving it for the time being and slowly gradually things will resume to normal but have patience
