Q.

my nephew is 2 year and 1 month old, he speaks but avoid eye contact.. and doesn't even listen when we call his name, he usually busy in his own world. he continuously mutters rhymes or anything we speaks. he doesn't sit and follow instructions, doesnt listen or learn how to play with toys,a bit hyper active. Is there something serious or odd. how to correct?

A. there is not speech problem.. he actually speaks a lot. but no eye contact and mutters a lot and roam around.

A. development by the age of 2 years the child should be able to speak few words with meaning in the sentence and should be able to understand all the commands and orders given by the parents and if you feel that they are not present in your child it is important to meet your pediatrician to assess the growth cmilestones of the child and whether there is any need of therapy or not. if child has good understanding and follows orders acnd command of the parents properly then do not worry much about speech as will eventually come. talk more with child. avoid tv mobile laptop. involve more people to interact with the child.
