My name is diksha. After 2 miscarriage, now I am pregnant, my 5th month has been started, my doctor suggest me for the double marker test, Is This important or necessary?

The double marker test helps determine whether the unborn baby has any risk of developing neurological abnormalities or mental disorders. It detects Down syndrome or Trisomy 21, Trisomy 18, and Trisomy 13, which cause mental and physical challenges in the baby. so yes you should do in 11-12 weeks of pregnancy

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr 2 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hai good evening !! Yes double mark test ,NT scan,doppler test is important to know if any abnormalities..Down syndrome or any chromosomal abnormalities. Usually these are suggested by Doctors around 5th month and followed by TIFFA scan /Anamoly scan are very important scans in Pregnancy.
