My lo is 5.5 months and yet I have not got my periods post c sec Delivery. shud I need to consult gynac or is it fine to wait to come naturally

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. after delivery.. for one year you can have irregular periods or amenorrhea due to hormonal fluctuations . use effective contraceptive methods. take iron calcium and multivitamins supplements regularly and protein powder with milk twice a day

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom There is irregularity of periods after delivery due to the hormonal changes. Breastfeeding mothers tend to get periods late and as late as one year. Once u stop breastfeeding the periods will become normal and regular. So no need to worry. Take care
