Q.

My kid is 4 year old and she has a weak appetite. Does not feel hungry, eats very less. Weight is also on the lower side. Struggles in eating food. What should be done, please advise. Also please let me know the foods to give. Thanks.

A. dear consult doctor for nutritional deficiencies like iron and zinc which can affect appetite and food intake deworming twice a year give small frequent meals add ghee to every meal good protein from egg , non veg, sprouts, chana sattu, pulses, beans powdered nuts to food, dry fruits , paneer include seasonal fruits and vegetables in daily diet

A. Just to be on the safer side give Iron multivitamin supplement for a month or two and see if that helps betterment of appetite and if it does it would probably be the nutritional nutritional deficiency reason which was leading to this problem
