Q.
my granddaughter is one yr old.she is a premature baby.she is having problem in passing motion.the stool is hard and cries when passing motion expecting a reply soon

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. hard stools is common due to change in food pattern and content.
For immediate relief from constipation u can use dulcolax / glycerin suppository.
To avoid and rectify constipation u shud focus on diet change.
U shud give fibre rich fruits/pulpy seasonal fruits like mango apple pear pomegranate n green leafy vegetables like beans palak brocolli etc.
Give fruits mix in milk as shakes
Increase water content and give plenty of other fluids also
