Q.
my girl baby is 3 months old now. for the past 10 days she is sucking her thumb finger and not getting breastfeed and cries a lot. She is breast feeding only for 2 to 3 mins and again she is sucking her hands. Her motion is also comes in a bubble texture. Kindly suggest what to do

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. sucking of fingers is common it is not habit for me it is not a sign of hunger and it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination and if it is need for appropriate investigations in this regard and far proper management of the problem

Baby may have teething problems
Give teether or pacifier
Squeeze your nipple frequently
Try to keep head up position while feeding
Maintain hydration
Burp well after evey feeding by holding your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes
