Q.

My exclusively breastfed son weighed 5.2 kg at 3 months and now he will complete 4 months in another week, but he still weights only 5.4kg. seems active and is peeing pooping normally. is it because my milk supply is not sufficient?

A. Hello there maam please do not worry about it too much. Baby weight depends on birth weight and normally doubles by the age of six months and triples by the age of one year. If baby is active and taking feed properly then no need to panic. Mother should take healthy food items including fresh fruits and dry fruits. Please take Shatavari powder with milk twice a day to increase breast milk supply. Also feed the baby often which also helps in increasing breast milk supply. Masaage your breasts gently before feeding the baby. You can also use breast pump to take out milk which also helps in production of breast milk. Thanks and take care
