Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Influenza vaccine or the flu vaccine is basically a vaccine which protects against different strains of flu viruses including swine Flu virus which causes symptoms specially in children because of less immunity.
Though it is not a mandatory vaccine but it should be given to every child to protect against different flu infection which is very commotn every year . this vaccine is given after 6 months of age and initially two doses are given one month apart then every year single dose is required .
It isd not documented but still studies suggest that to some extent it may give partial protection against covid infection .
Uma RamMom of a 7 yr old boy3 years agoA. Hello good afternoon !! Flu Vaccination is the name and it is not provided in government Vaccination card,only private hospitals, Paeditricians will do Vaccinations .
Ask your Paeditrician price and two shots will be given at a gap of one month around 6-8 months.
It will immunize against common flu,cold which are most common in kids mostly people live in cold areas (low temperature areas).
