Q.

my daughter is preterm baby of 20months (10kg) having fever from last night after we are back from a trip after giving her paracetamol 125mg (6ml) getting fever back in 4hrs should I see a Dr. or continue paracetamol

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dosec of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

A. Yu Consult your doctor ones because his fever is repeating every four hours and you’re giving a really high dosage of paracetamol to the child as well so it’s better to consult your doctor in the meanwhile you can start doing cold sponging on the entire body
