Q.

my daughter is one year 19 months. she is, having 102 degrees temperature. what should I do for controlling the temperature.

A. You have to give paracetamol according to the weight and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having. It can be repeated maximum 4 times per day. Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever Weather higher medicines like ibugesic for meftal p is required or not will be told by the doctor. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the the child is having fever Important to avoid them if possible. Do body sponge to decrease the body temperature and give plenty of fluids and water to drink to prevent dehydration.

If your baby also has other signs or symptoms — such as a cold, cough or diarrhea — you might contact the doctor sooner based on their severity.
