Q.

my daughter is born in 36weeks with weight 2.2kg. doctor suggested to give expressed milk of30ml per feed and 20min breast feed. currently 8 feeds are happening per day kid s now taking time for laching and expecting expressed milk. can I increase the feed duration n slowly reduce expressed milk?

A. Your baby will gradually be able to drink more breast milk at each feeding. Over the first few weeks and months, the time between feedings will start to get longer. On average, most exclusively breastfed babies will feed about every 2 to 4 hours.
