Q.
My baby is preterm and now 17days since he is born .. doctor suggested 20min breast feed and 30ml extracted breast milk as top up .. But in some feeds he is getting very cranky and asking for more .. else he is not sleeping .. is ok to feed as per his requirement ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also.
the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding.
meet the doctor for weight assessment.g
if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake.
if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about theg sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
