A. The average weight of a 9 months old girl should be around 6.6 to 8 kg. Keep breast feeding your baby. Make sure that the baby empties one breast first before moving on to the next breast as the milk that comes towards the end, which is hind milk, is rich in fat and helps in healthy weight gain. Give bananas, avocados, mangoes, papaya and pears. These help in weight gain. Give plain curd made from whole cow's milk. Give fruit smoothies and add dry fruits powder to them. Give green peas. Give brown rice and ragi. Give peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches. Add ghee in small amounts to your baby's meals. Give one boiled egg yolk per day. Give moong Dal and masoor Dal.
