Q.

my daughter is 6 months and 20 days. I have started solids..but it has led to her being constipated. She pushes so hard even face goes red. But she isn't able to pass stool. kindly guide me on how I can help her.

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also whencg initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by docgtor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Constipation once you start giving food is very normal to try and make sure that you including good amount of liquids along site give buttermilk twice a day and also give papaya that is going to help in reducing the issue of constipation
