A. Weight gain of a baby depends on the birth weight and feeding patterns. Your baby us too small for cow milk as it is difficult to digest. If mother is not having enough breastmilk, then feed any good formula milk as it is a product meant specifically for babies for healthy growth and development. Also, you can now introduce semi solid diet to to the baby like lentil soup, khichdi, mixed vegetable soup, pureed apple and pear, mashed banana, ragi and sooji porridge, etc. as it will help in gaining weight too.
