Q.
my daughter is 5 yr 11 month old she is having problems while breathing for few days . the whole night she moves here and there due to breathing difficulty. sometimes it is been observed that when she was taking breath from nose and releasing the breath from mouth and feels uncomfortable while sleeping . also many time she breathes in and out from mouth only and felt uncomfortable after 5 to 19 mins. please help and suggest what can be the issue

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and exuopectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
