Mom of a 3 yr 5 m old girl2 years ago
Q.

my daughter is 5½ months old, he birth weight was 3.9kg,now her weight is 6.3kg,she looks so thin as compared to the born day, I m worried about her weight, and she doesn't sleep for long in day time, her maximum time for sleep is 45 mis to 45 mins.,but she takes proper sleep in night time, she takes 5-mins feed in every 1 or 1½ hour. I often doubt she might be having less milk supply, is there any problem or its normal. because I think her weight is increasing slowly.

A. Hello mom babies are generally expected to almost double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months and then it would triple by the age of one year as the baby is growing the demand also tend to increase and the requirements so now along with the feed of yours you can also introduce the baby to weaning foods as for now liquid consistency diet and then gradually moved to semi solid and mashed foods
