Q.

My daughter is 4 months 23 days old. She's just 5 kg in weight. Do I need to do something to increase her weight coz it's very less weight. I tried giving her Lactogen1 but she doesn't like the taste nd doesn't drink it. Can you please give some suggestions to increase her weight nd make her healthy

A. Dear parent, weight of 5 kg is fine for your baby if your baby has been gaining 500 grams per month, is active, alert, achieving all growth milestones, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours. Exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months complete is the most healthy way to gain weight. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
