POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. If your 3-year-8-month-old daughter still has swelling on her left forehead above the eyebrow a week after falling, it is likely a hematoma (a small blood clot under the skin), which can take weeks to fully heal. Since it is slightly hard, it means the blood is slowly reabsorbing. You can gently apply a warm compress (a warm cloth) for 5–10 minutes, 2–3 times a day, to help reduce swelling. If she has no pain, dizziness, vomiting, or behavioral changes, it’s not a serious concern. However, if the swelling increases, remains hard for a long time, or she shows signs of discomfort, consult a pediatrician to rule out any underlying injury. Keep monitoring, and it should improve gradually.
