Q.

my daughter is 3 and half month. she is all active playing and smiling but yesterday onwards while crying there was a change in her voice... it seems like she is having cold and crying with a lower voice... but is all active and not showing any other signs of cold? do u know why is it so? whether I need to consult a doctor?

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with th freeat probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
