Q.

My daughter is 1year 8 months old,she is suffering fever from last 3days,giving her paracetamol thrice in a day,her tongue seems littlebit blackish those days,is it normal?

A. It is not normal for the tongue to change in color and sometimes if there is blood coming out that can stain the tongue so better consult your doctor immediatelyWrite Your Answer Here

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again reqcuired and yous can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

A. Ru Also giving any kind of iron supplement to the child with the medicines that you are giving or the medicine that you are giving is in black in colour so either of the things are happening then the only the tongue is going to turn black otherwise there could be third reason behind it
