POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. It’s common for 18-month-old toddlers to go through phases of refusing food, but if your daughter is not eating anything at all, it’s important to address it gently and patiently. Toddlers at this age often assert independence and may reject food due to teething, boredom with the same meals, or simply low appetite. Offer small, colorful, and soft meals that are easy to chew, like mashed vegetables, dal-rice, fruit slices, or stuffed parathas. Try to make mealtimes fun without forcing her to eat. Also, limit milk intake to 400–500 ml per day so she feels hungry for solid food. Allow her to self-feed and eat with the family. If she still refuses food consistently or shows signs of weakness or weight loss, consult a pediatrician to rule out any underlying health issue or deficiency.
