Q.

My daughter had her second vaccination on 19th April, since then her thighs are swollen and left thigh is badly swollen. Although we have been treating her with ice therapy and since then the swelling has reduced. Left thight has tightness also. My question is for how long the swelling and the tightness will persist? Is this normal ? Also until when we should be continuing with ice pack ?

A. generally there will be swelling for 3 to 4 days but the hardness may be some more time to subside for further advice in this regard it is advisable to consult your doctor for physical examination and if there is need to do investigations also then only proper treatment can be given
