A. Constipation is a common problem in children for which diet modification is important like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help , can give daliya or oatsmeal also .give more liquids. giving excess otcf milk may cause constipation too.also avoid banana which may aggravate .lactulose or polyethylene glycol may be of good help, but give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed.

A. To soften the stools and make them easier to pass, increase the amount of non-dairy fluid and fiber your child gets each day. High-fiber foods include fruits and fruit juices that contain sorbitol (prune, mango, pear), vegetables (broccoli, peas), beans, and whole-grain breads and cereals.
