A. It can be challenging when your baby cries during bath time and tummy time. Here are a few suggestions that might help: 1. Create a calm and soothing environment: Ensure the room is warm, quiet, and free from distractions. Soft lighting and background white noise, like ocean sounds, might help create a relaxing atmosphere. 2. Start with shorter sessions: Begin with shorter bath and tummy time sessions and gradually increase the duration as your baby becomes more comfortable. This allows them to gradually adjust to the experience. 3. Use a baby bathtub or support: Using a smaller baby bathtub or a bath support that keeps your baby in a comfortable position might alleviate any discomfort during bath time. 4. Try different positions: Experiment with different positions during tummy time to see if your baby prefers certain positions over others. Some babies may find being propped up on a nursing pillow or lying across your lap more comfortable. 5. Distraction and engagement: Use toys, rattles, or colorful objects to engage your baby during bath time and tummy time. Singing or talking to them might also help distract and calm them. 6. Check for discomfort: Ensure there are no underlying issues causing discomfort during bath time, such as the water being too hot or cold. Check if there's any discomfort on their tummy that might be alleviated with gentle burping or soothing techniques. Remember, every baby is unique, so it might take some trial and error to find what works best for your daughter. If her distress continues, it's a good idea to consult with your pediatrician for further guidance and to rule out any underlying issues.
