Q.

my child will be 1 year on 17 Aug still he cannot say any word like mama dada papa or nana. is it normal.

A. for proper fluent speech you need to wait till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly aclrnd fluently if its not so then consult doctor to know if speech therapy is required.till that time keep interacting as much as possible in your spoken language and involve the child in language learning activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this will also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .

A. Hello dear parent! Few babies have delay in their milestones and it is normal. Communicate more with your child. Encourage your child to express and respond. Keep telling stories and sing and play together. Give your child a well balanced healthy diet and keep hydrated. Good luck and take care.
