Q.

My child age is 3yrs 6 months. I want to know about his hep B vaccine. at the time of birth he got his 1st dose of hep B vaccine and within 3 months the other doses of hep B vaccine as penta -1,2,3 by government. Is those vaccine doses are enough to protect him from hepatitis B virus or needed any more doses. because, recently one of my family member was infected with Hepatitis B. so, please let me know what to do.

A. in a lifetime 3 doses are enough for hepatitis b. after that there is no need to give hepatitis b vaccine but still it is again covered at 18 months of age many times when pentavalent vaccine is given but it is extra dosage
